No. 337-TA-1126 USITC Institutes Section 337 Investigation of Certain Water Filters and Components Thereof The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has voted to institute an investigation of certain water filters and components thereof.  The products at issue in the investigation are water filter cartridges for refrigerators, including water filter cartridge assemblies and interconnection subassemblies. The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Electrolux Home Products, Inc. of Charlotte, NC, and KX Technologies, LLC of West Haven, CT, on June 8, 2018.  An amended complaint was filed on June 28, 2018, and a letter supplementing the amended complaint was filed on July 10, 2018.  The amended complaint, as supplemented, alleges violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation i

No. 337-TA-1108 The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has voted to institute an investigation of certain jump rope systems.  The products at issue in the investigation are jump ropes with handles that contain a bearing element that permits a shaft to more easily rotate. The investigation is based on a complaint filed by Jump Rope Systems, LLC, of Louisville, CO, on February 13, 2018.  The complaint alleges violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the importation into the United States and sale of certain jump rope systems that infringe patents asserted by the complainant.  The complainant requests that the USITC issue a limited exclusion order and cease and desist order. The USITC has identified Suzhou Everise Fitness Co., Ltd., of Suzhou, Jiangsu, China as the respondent in this investigation.

No. 731-TA-1347-1348 (Final) Dumped Biodiesel from Argentina and Indonesia Injures U.S. Industry, Says USITC The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) today determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of biodiesel from Argentina and Indonesia that the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) has determined are sold in the United States at less than fair value. Chairman Rhonda K. Schmidtlein, Vice Chairman David S. Johanson, and Commissioners Irving A. Williamson and Meredith M. Broadbent voted in the affirmative.  Commissioner Jason E. Kearns did not participate in these investigations. As a result of the USITC’s affirmative determinations, Commerce will issue antidumping duty orders on imports of this product from Argentina and Indonesia. The Commission also made a negative
