 NASDAQ Cubist Pharma draws bullish spread Posted 6/1/2010 3:09 AM by David Russell from optionMONSTER in Investing , Options Referenced Stocks - CBST Cubist Pharmaceuticals has been falling since it topped out at $24 last month, and now one investor thinks it will rally back to that level. optionMONSTER's Heat Seeker tracking system detected the purchase of 2,000 August 20 calls for $2.985 and the sale of 2,000 August 25 calls for $0.76, resulting in a net debit of $2.225. This call spread will more than double the trader's money if CBST closes at or above $25 on expiration. The stock rose 2.58 percent to $21.50 on Friday after getting upgraded to "outperform" from "neutral" at Cowen. The yellow metal finished pit trade with a 0.8% gain at $1171.80 per ounce. That marked a 2010 closing high. Silver prices slipped, however. The metal closed at $18.11 per ounce, down 0.1%. Energy prices staged strong gains. More specifically, oil prices were pushed 0.9% higher to $83.32 per barrel. Most of that move came in late trade, after prices had slipped back to their 50-day moving average and gyrated after weekly inventory data showed a larger-than-expected build of 1.96 million barrels. Meanwhile, natural gas prices were able to move 0.8% higher to $4.35 per MMBtu. Overall strength among commodities helped the CRB Commodity Index advance 0.5%, which made for a mode
