  New orders for manufactured durable goods in October decreased 0.7 percent, to $197.7 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders rose 0.7 percent. Overall shipments rose 1.3 percent, while capital goods shipments decreased 0.6 percent. Unfilled orders rose 0.2 percent and inventories increased 0.5 percent. Financial & Forex Info | ESA - Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories and Orders -: New orders for manufactured durable goods in April 2011 decreased 3.6% to $189.9 billion. Excluding transportation, new orders fell 1.5%. Overall shipments declined 1.0% to $194.9 billion. Capital goods shipments fell 1.9%. Unfilled orders rose 0.2%. And inventories increased 0.9% in April 2011.

    Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories and Orders April 2011 New Orders. New orders for manufactured durable goods in April decreased $7.1 billion or 3.6 percent to $189.9 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced today. This decrease, down two of the last three months, followed a 4.4 percent March increase. Excluding transportation, new orders decreased 1.5 percent. Excluding defense, new orders decreased 3.6 percent. Transportation equipment, also down two of the last three months, had the largest decrease, $4.9 billion or 9.5 percent to $46.7 billion.
