Oct. 2009 - Oct 2010 Monthly Statistics on Building Permits and Housing Starts Decline

FINANCIAL & FOREX INFO NEWS Building permits in October 2010 were 550,000, up 0.5 percent from September but down 4.5 percent from October 2009.  Housing starts were 519,000, down 11.7 percent from September and down 1.9 percent from October 2009.

FINANCIAL & FOREX INFO NEWS New Orders of manufactured goods increased by 2.1 percent in September to $420.0 billion.  Shipments increased 0.4 percent to $418.2 billion, while Unfilled Orders increased by 0.1 percent and Inventories increased by 0.7 percent in September
