EVENING NEWS TOP STORIES Hi everyone, I'm reporting once again from ground zero. Earlier today, President Obama laid a wreath at the outdoor memorial to those killed on September 11. His visit to New York comes four days after U.S. forces killed Osama bin Laden, who ordered the 9/11 attacks. While visiting a firehouse, the President said "When we say we will never forget, we mean what we say." Chip Reid reports on the President's trip to New York City, while Byron Pitts will speak with the families of those who died on 9/11 -- does the death of bin Laden bring closure? Meanwhile, David Martin reports on the brand new stealth helicopters used in the assault in Pakistan. They enabled the Navy Seals to zoom in on the compound without being detected. Gasoline now averages $3.99 a gallon across the country. Prices have now risen for 43 consecutive days. Anthony Mason takes a look at what this is doing to our economy.
