Phani Kumar , MarketWatch  HONG KONG (MarketWatch) — Gold prices edged higher Wednesday as anxiety about Cyprus and hopes that the Fed will maintain a loose monetary policy attracted investors to the metal’s safe-haven appeal.  Gains were capped, however, after the precious metal on Tuesday climbed for a fourth session in U.S. trading and as the dollar firmed up.
