U.S. stock futures fell sharply in the opening minutes of trading Sunday, after President Donald Trump said he would raise tariffs this week on $200 billion of Chinese goods to 25%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures
sank more than 400 points, or 1.6%, while S&P 500 futures
fell 1.5% and Nasdaq Composite futures
dropped 1.7%. Trump's tweets
add uncertainty to ongoing negotiations between the U.S. and China. Last
week, officials said that they had made progress after the latest round of talks, and expressed hope that a deal could be reached this week.
