    Europe's Energy Leaders Consider Pipeline Change European Union energy ministers, led by Commissioner Maros Sefcovic hold talks on Tuesday expected to be dominated by the announcement by President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia that his country is abandoning plans to build a natural gas pipeline under the Black Sea to supply central and southern Europe. The stated aim of the talks, scheduled before Mr. Putin's surprise cancellation of the South Stream project, is to discuss the bloc's energy strategy to 2020 as well as linking national energy systems. But since Mr. Putin's announcement, ministers were expected to assess whether South Stream has been definitively called off and the implications for relations with Russia.
    Trade and Retail Sales Reports From Commerce DepartmentThe economic front is relatively quiet this week. On Tuesday, the Commerce Department will report on wholesale trade inventories for October and the Labor Department will release its job openings and labor turnover survey for October. On Thursday, the Labor Department issues its weekly report on initial claims for unemployment benefits and the Commerce Department reports on retail sales data for November. On Friday, the Labor Department reports on the Producer Price Index for November.
