Australia stocks head lower on bank weakness LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Australia stocks slipped early Monday on weakness in bank and retail sectors after the market finished higher last week, and ahead of an interest-rate decision Tuesday by the Reserve Bank of Australia. The S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.2% to 5,105.3, as shares of financials Macquarie Group Ltd. and Australia & New Zealand Banking Group fell 0.6% and 0.4%, respectively. Retailer Woolworths Ltd. declined 0.7% and Wesfarmers Ltd. gave up 0.3%. Meanwhile, stock in Paladin Energy Ltd. sank 27%, extending Friday's drop after the uranium miner ended talks to sell a minority interest in a Namibian mine, and raised funds through a private placement of shares. Also lower, shares of Virgin Australia Holdings Ltd. declined 5.5% after the carrier warned of a yearly loss of 110 million Australian dollars ($97.8 million). The S&P/ASX 200 last week rose 1.5%

Swiss gold fund manager Egon von Greyerz tells King World News tonight that the U.S. government is falsifying major economic indicators as its empire becomes corrupt and goes into decline. Employees' and business units'  freedom to choose the technologies they use could generate significant benefits without creating security headaches. In Freedom to choose, a report written by the EIU and sponsored by Blue Coat, we find that a majority of executives surveyed for the study believe greater technology autonomy is critical if their business is to grow and to become more efficient. They estimate that revenues and profits could increase by an average of 25% were employees and departments granted greater freedom to choose their devices and applications.
