Mining Interactive: Tumi Completes Initial Drill Programs at Mezquite in Mexico and Tomtebo in Sweden

April 5, 2011
TSXv - TM; Frankfurt -TUY (WKN 251 738); Pinksheets - TUMIF
At Mezquite:
  • Six holes totalling 980 m tested four chargeable zones defined by a three dimensional IP survey as well as one hole each under the main pit and shaft in the centre of the Mezquite mineralized
  • Sampling of the drill cuttings has been completed, and the samples have been submitted to ALS Chemex's prep lab in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
(Field crews will now focus on rehabilitating road access into the La Gloria gold-tin-tungsten prospect.  Once completed, the mineralized area will be mapped and sampled in detail and when results are received, an initial reverse circulation drill program will be planned and undertaken.)
At Tomtebo:
  • Two diamond drill holes totaling 227.3 m have been completed, exploring the old workings and a previously untested electromagnetic (EM) and induced polarisation (IP) anomaly. The drilling has confirmed the geophysical anomalies, and the core is now being logged and sampled for assaying. The drill is being relocated to Vitturn, also located in the Bergslagen District, to test the 400 m long IP target previously defined in this licence area.
Says David Henstridge, President & CEO: “Our 2011 drill programs are on track. The drill programs in Mexico at Mezquite and Tomtebo were completed on schedule and on budget and in Sweden the rig is moving to Vitturn where we will test the large IP anomaly.  In Mexico at our La Gloria project we have initiated a detailed mapping and sampling.”
Dear Friends:

All we can do now is to wait patiently for the RC and DD assay results from Tumi’s 100% owned Mezquite and Tomtebo projects.

As always - - - Stay Tuned, there is lots of excitement just over the horizon for Tumi!!

Dish Network won Blockbuster in a bankruptcy auction for $320 million, further broadening its business beyond satellite TV and setting up a possible showdown with Netflix. A Deutsche Bank estimate that 100,000 Motorola XOOM units were sold over its first two months means the tablet was a flop, writes Business Insider’s Jay Yarow. For comparison, Apple sold 300,000 iPads on the first week weekend it was available. BetaNews’s Joe Wilcox calls the XOOM a surprising success, noting that the tablet came to market with "huge handicaps, all of which make comparisons to iPad 2 unrealistic". Wilcox says high pricing has been the main deterrent to buying a XOOM.
