GATA Dispatches "Manipukation of Silver

TheStreet.com notes complaints of manipulation of silver:

Submitted by cpowell on 06:07PM ET Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Section: Daily Dispatches 9p ET Tuesday, March 3, 2009Dear Friend of GATA and Gold (and Silver):Strangely, TheStreet.com today noted complaints about manipulation of the silver market. It happened in a rather flippant report by TheStreet.com's Debra Borchardt. But at least they spelled the metal's name right. You can view the report here under the headline "$35 Silver in 2 Years":http://www.thestreet.com/video/10466919/35-silver-in-2-years.htmlCHRIS POWELL, Secretary/TreasurerGold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.

GATA Dispatches " A challenge from hillbilly to help GATA

A challenge from Tennessee Hillbilly to help GATA

Submitted by cpowell on 08:48AM ET Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Section: Daily Dispatches 11:38a ET Tuesday, March 3, 2009Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:Thanks to some of you, GATA has met the two $300 matching contribution challenges we were given during the Phoenix Resource Investment Conference. Now we've received a bolder challenge from a friend in Tennessee, whose message is appended. To put it less colorfully than he does, if GATA can raise $8,000 more this month, he'll add $2,000. (Maybe he'll throw in his kids too.) See what you think.Information on contributing to GATA can be found here:http://www.gata.org/node/16CHRIS POWELL, Secretary/TreasurerGold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.* * *Listen up, Metalheads!I've been blown away by the recent $300 donation challenges to GATA supporters. Hell, I spend more than that each month to heat my doublewide down here on the river. GATA don't run on cornbread and taters; they're taking on some of the biggest criminals in the world! Surely we can put a little more fiat in GATA's kitty.I'm willing to cut back on a few months' worth of chow for the kids; they're too dang fat anyway. That'll make them howl, but not me.I'll sacrifice a couple months' worth of ammo purchases (that will make me howl -- a lot) if I can pry some bucks out of the tight-fisted tinfoil-hatted team.My proposal is this. If just 80 people cough up a Franklin ($100), I'll shell out 20 Franklins more. That's $10,000 grand for GATA and that's no big deal -- probably keep the lights on for maybe a couple weeks. Or if a thousand people to kick in $8 a piece. Or 200 people $40 bucks a piece. Or whatever! For every four bucks, I'll put in the fifth, up to two grand.Come on -- make me howl and let's give GATA some much-needed support. Surely there are others who could do the same or, more likely, a helluva lot more than me. Step up to the plate, pass the plate, quit feedin' off the plate. Bust open that zippered Roy Rogers wallet and contribute!-- Tennesse Hillbilly.

GATA Dispatches Swiss America has special offer for Gata Suporters

Swiss America has special offer for GATA supporters

Submitted by cpowell on 07:25AM ET Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Section: Daily Dispatches 10:23a ET Tuesday, March 3, 2009Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:Do you remember back on September 17 last year when gold exploded $85 higher? From September 16 last year to the present spot gold bullion is up about 21 percent -- quite a move in just over five months. But according to our sources at Swiss America Trading Corp. in Phoenix, prices on MS63 and MS64 $20 gold St. Gaudens coins have risen by 70 and 75 percent in the same time, after a sluggish period. Demand for these classic coins has risen sharply and supplies of them are tight. So Swiss America has developed a ratio trading strategy for investors in these and other gold coins. To learn about it, call Swiss America's Fred Goldstein or Tim Murphy at 1-800-289-2646, Extensions 1041 and 1033. Or e-mail them at FIGoldstein@SwissAmerica.com or TRMurphy@SwissAmerica.com. You'll get a free newsletter titled "Gold -- Financial Light of the World," and if you purchase anything from Swiss America and identify yourself as a GATA supporter the firm will donate part of the proceeds to GATA.CHRIS POWELL, Secretary/TreasurerGold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.
